How many bosses are in terraria?
There are about 17 bosses in terraria. 7 of them belong to pre-hardmode and 10 bosses belong to hardmode.

King Slime
This is the first boss fight you should take in terraria. King Slime is not a very hard boss to fight because he is the first boss. But If you don’t know the correct strategy to beat it, you will get killed easily. So let’s talk about which weapons should you use in this fight.
You can use this method to beat king slime in normal, expert, and master mode in terraria.
How to summon terraria king slime?
To summon terraria king slime you can use a slime crown. You can make a slime crown with 20 gel and 1 golden/platinum crown at a crimson or corruption altar. Sometimes king slime will spawn during the slime raining event.

My favorite weapons are grenades and bow+arrow to beat king slime.

Boots, grappling hook, and cloud in a bottle accessories are a must for this boss fight. I suggest you use a lucky horseshoe to avoid fall damage.

Arena
The arena for this boss fight is a normal boss fight arena that you can build by using wooden platforms. Make sure to use campfires to increase your life regeneration.
Eye of Cthulhu
Eye of Cthulhu is the second boss on the list. The eye of Cthulhu is can only summon at night time. Fighting with a boss at night is dangerous than a having fight in the daytime because more enemies like zombies will appear at night.
This might be the first boss that you have to face at night time because you can summon the king slime even at day time.
Now let’s talk about which weapons should you use to fight with the Eye of Cthulhu. You can use these weapons to beat the eye of Cthulhu even in expert and master mods.

Eater of the worlds
You can summon the eater of the worlds only in the corruption biome. So if you have a corruption biome as the evil biome of your world you should pick your next fight with the eater of the worlds. You must beat the brain of Cthulhu to spawn meteorites in your world
How to summon eater of the worlds?
You can summon eater of the worlds using worm food or breaking 3 shadow orbs in the corruption biome (use bombs)
You can craft worm food with 30 vile power and 15 rotten chunks at demon altar (corruption)

Grenades, Bow + jesters arrows, Vile thron, Water bolt, Mace, Ball of hurt, Flinx staff
I recommend you to use grenades in normal mode. Flinx staff will be more helpful in expert and master modes.

Brain of Cthulhu
If your world is crimson, you must beat the brain of Cthulhu after beating the eye of chathulu. You can only summon this boss in the crimson biome. You must beat the brain of Cthulhu to spawn meteorites in your world
How to summon the Brain of Cthulhu
You can summon the brain of Cthulhu using a bloody spine or breaking 3 crimson hearts. You can craft a bloody spine using 30 vicious power and 15 vertebrae at a crimson altar.

Queen bee
You can summon the queen in the jungle biome. Also If you use your magic mirror to teleport to your base queen bee won’t disappear, it will follow you wherever you go until you die.
How to summon the queen bee
You can summon the queen bee using an abeemination or by breaking a larva in a beehive. You can craft abeemination using 5 honey blocks, 1 stinger, 5 hives, and 1 bottled honey anywhere (without any crafting station).

Skeletron
The next terraria boss on the list after beating queen bee is skeletron. Skeletorn is another pre-hardmode boss that only can be summoned during the night. This boss has 2 floating skeleton arms and 1 floating skeleton head. You can’t enter the dungeon until you beat the skeletorn.
How to summon skeletron
You can summon skeletron at night by asking the old man at the dungeon to summon his master.

Wall of flesh is a special boss fight because the wall of the flesh is the final boss that you have to beat in pre-hardmode. You will enter to hardmode as soon as you beat the wall of flesh.
How to summon fall of flesh
You can summon wall of flesh by putting a voodoo doll into the lava at the underworld.

Queen Slime
Queen Slime is a new boss to terraria 1.4. This is the first boss fight you are going to have in hardmode. Also, I see this boss as the stronger version of king slime and this is an optional boss fight before mechanical bosses. But I recommend you don’t miss this.
How to summon queen slime?
You can summon terraria queen slime using a gelatin crystal. You can find gelatin crystals at the underground hollow biome. I recommend you to summon queen slime in the daytime.

Twins are the next boss fight on the list and this will be your first mechanical boss fight. You can summon this boss at only night time.
How to summon terraria twins
You can summon twins by using a mechanical eye at night. To make a mechanical eye you need 3 lenses, 5 any iron bars, and 6 souls of light at a Mythril or orichalcum anvil.

This is the next boss on the list and it is the second mechanical boss you are going to take. This is a more upgraded version of the eater of the worlds. This boss also can be summoned during the nighttime.
How to summon destroyer
You can summon the destroyer using a mechanical worm at night time. To make a mechanical worm you need 6 rotten chunks/vertebra, 5 any iron bars, and 6 souls of night at a Mythril or orichalcum anvil.

The next boss on the list is skeletron prime. This is the third and the final mechanical boss that you have to fight. Skeletron Prime is an upgraded version of skeletron. You can summon this boss during the nighttime.

You can summon skeletron prime using a mechanical skull. You can make a mechanical skull using 30 bones, 5 any iron bars, 3 souls of light, and 3 souls of night at a Mythril or orichalcum anvil.

Plantera
After beating the mechanical bosses, you can move to the next boss which is plantera. You can summon plantera at any time in the underground jungle biome. Plantera will drop the key to the jungle temple.
How to summon plantera
You can summon plantera by breaking plantera’s bulb in the underground jungle biome.
How to find plantera bulbs in terraria
First, explore the underground jungle biome after beating the mechanical bosses (after 3 terraria days). Then notice the platera’s bulbs you saw and check later on the map for new plntera’s bulbs. It will be easy to find them from the map because you already have explored them.
Also, you can build a palntera’s bulb farm using mud blocks.

Golem
After you beat plantera it will drop a key to the jungle temple. After you pick up it, you can get access to the jungle temple. In that temple, you can summon your next boss which is a golem.
How to summon golem
You can summon a golem using a lizahrd power cell at a lihzahrd altar. You can find lizahrd power cells and to lihzahrd altar in the temple.

You can summon duke fishron by fishing at the ocean with the truffle worm bait. You can find truffle worms at the mushroom biome. Also, you can make a truffle worm farm to catch them faster.

This is the final boss fight you are going to have in terraria. If you are going to beat the moon lord for the first time. It will get very be hard because it happened to me too. But I will tell you the method I use to beat moon lord.
How to summon moon lord
You can summon the moon lord using a celestial sigil or defeating the celestial pillars. To make a celestial sigil you need 20 (solar, vortex, nebula, and stardust) fragments at an ancient manipulator.
