To do it, open your crafting menu by pressing Esc and then select workbench. You need 10 pieces of wood to make a workbench but you don’t need to worry too much about it because you can collect a lot of wood from trees.
Now you need to find any iron ore to make iron bars. You can use lead or iron to do this. Now select your pickaxe and start digging until you find lead ore or iron ore. After you find iron or lead ore you can use it to craft iron bars (you can make any iron bar using 3 ores).
To craft any iron bars using ores, you will need a furnace. You can easily craft it by using 20 stones, 4 wood, and 3 torches at a workbench (You can craft 3 torches when you have 1 gel and 1 wood by going to the crafting menu).
